In 1974, the U.S. government enacted the Navajo-Hopi Land Settlement Act, leading to widespread displacement. The film highlights the people of Black Mesa, where a few Navajo families continue to stand their ground, preserving their heritage and fighting for their ancestral right to remain on their sacred land.
